Hörmal-Kollektiv intern

Currently, I’m working in Wiesbaden at the Hörmal-Kollektiv to gain practical experiences in 2D animation. The internship will take from March until the end of May 2016. It’s a pleasure to learn from Peter Ederer, who has been in the business for years. His main focus is on concept art, storyboarding and art direction.

The animation studio creates music and animated films for German TV and companies.

Area of responsibilities at Hörmal-Kollektiv

During my internship, I work on various projects for TV and the internet. I’m creating motion graphics, illustration, storyboards, classical design, and animation. ZDF is one of our big clients. I made a lot for the ZDF mediathek.

Also, I worked mainly on a music video for Gerd Knebel, which Peter Ederer finished in October 2016. Here you can have a look at the animated short:

I created the backgrounds, the layout, the big lady, and the black silhouettes of the dancing women, which are shown at the ending of the clip. Also, I was responsible for the compositing in AfterEffects and the animations.

I enjoy my time in Germany. There I explored some interesting stuff and met interesting people. I visited the neighboring cities Mainz and Frankfurt. So, I had the luck to explore the Luminale in Frankfurt, for example.
