Fish for Life – Best Animation trophy

Fish for Life – Best Animation at the Animation Dingle festival

As I mentioned in a previous post, Fish for Life won the Best Animation trophy award at the AnimationDingle festival in March. The award ceremony was screened on YouTube. Back then, my good friend and colleague Victoria Wolfersberger and I had a thrill. The Fish for Life twice was a wonderful surprise. But the moment when our work was actually chosen as the best animation, that was just an incredible, wonderful feeling!

A few days ago I received this beautiful trophy in the mail, it looks so great! The Best Animation trophy is made of glass, very high quality produced and engraved. Keeping it fills me with pride. It is our first trophy for our study project at the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg. It was the greatest task of our Master’s program. Having received tangible proof of our success gives everything a greater value than a laurel could. Even though we are grateful for all the laurels we received too.

Due to the situation of the pandemic, this year’s festivals have a lot of trouble with canceling and turning their programs online. Nevertheless, the festivals make a lot of effort to make the best of the situation. The festival makers from Animation Dingle were very friendly and obliging. They made the best of the situation and invited us for next year. The plan is to take a group photo of the winners.
