Today our animated short Just Grandpa (“Da Opa hoid“) will be screened at the tricky women 2018. The Metro Kinokulturhaus shows it at 3 p.m. as part of the program Österreich Panorama.

About Just Grandpa (“Da Opa hoid”)
As I mentioned in a previous post, the story is about the grandpa of little Mina. He suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. Nevertheless, Mina always finds a creative explanation for the weird actions of her beloved grandpa.
Doris Rastinger, Samantha Povolny, and I worked on the 2d animated short in our first semester of the master studies ‘Digital Arts’ at the campus Hagenberg. We’d finished the work in summer 2017. Now, we’re very honored, that tricky women had selected Just Grandpa (“Da Opa hoid”).
About tricky women
The Austrian festival focuses on the art of animation made by women. Each year in Vienna for five days around Women’s Day on 8th of March the festival presents film classics. Also, the movies show contemporary productions which give an overview of the latest trends and developments. Female animation artists from all over the world meet in Vienna for creative exchange. I find this festival is always a great place to be. The atmosphere is very inspiring and the exchange with other artists is great. I’ve visited this festival a lot of times now and it is every time a great experience.
