Fish creature design

For the 3d animated short Fish for Life I did the fish creature design of the second protagonist, who fights against Manolin, the fisherman.

About

The fish is young, strong, tall, and exotic. The creature represents a mixture of whale and shark. It can stand up with the wisdom of an old man. Its eyes are wise and clever. The color of the creature’s design symbolizes the passive, feminine, cool, and noble character.
The fish is a metaphor for the unplanned and unconscious. It shows you your inner silence.

After modelling, I also implemented the texturing & shading of the fish for Fish for Life. I designed this main character as a young, strong, big, unique and exotic creature. Her colours symbolise a passive, feminine, cool and noble character. A glowing effect of the fins gives the fish a special highlight with great impact. Because the fish is now visible in the dark through its fine emissive fins, which emit a blue-turquoise light.
